Tip - At memorial services, area police departments honor slain officers

Independence and Sugar Creek police conducted a joint ceremony Wednesday at Independence’s Central Police Building. Kansas City police will conduct their service at 10 a.m. Thursday in front of police headquarters, 1125 Locust St. Overland Park’s service is noon Friday at the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, 13800 Switzer Road.
