Best Exercises to build a big back

I want exercises that specifically focus on the whole of my back, I'm talking upper back and lower back. Something that will test me yet give me good results - I will consider all tips/points that I get thanks

Tip 1 - Close grip front lat pull down

very good exercise, every gym has a lat pull down. make sure your hands are all the way in & you are doing it in close grip, that way it works more of your back and less of your shoulders!

Tip 2 - Wide grip pull up

Tip 3 - One-arm Dumbbell Row

The one-arm dumbbell row is great for your work, and builds muscles on either side in a balanced manner. You can't leverage one side to pick the weights from the weaker side because you only work with one arm at a time.

Great exercise for the back, start off with low weight as you do not want to damage your back.. only up the weight when you get used to it

This exercise helps build muscles along the spinal column and your core and flutes. Just use a dumbbell, holding it behind your head as you twist in the position shown in the picture.

Tip 6 - Dead lifts

if you want a firm foundation of a good body, building your lower back is key! Dead Lifts is the best thing you can do in the gym - 5 sets/10 reps each
