Tip - Cigarette lighter in car doesn't work. Please help troubleshoot.

It seems the ac-adapter plug thingy (i.e. the cigarette lighter) doesn't work in my car. I suspect a blown fuse. I have neither the time nor the inclination to take it in to get fixed if I can do...
