Tip - Confederate flag history in Oklahoma

In Oklahoma, the Confederate flag flew for 22 years on the state Capitol grounds, part of a display of 14 flags that at one time or another flew over the land that would become Oklahoma. In 1988, workers removed all the flags. When the flags returned, the Confederate flag was absent.
