Tip - Get an antiseptic styptic pencil and an aftershave

Since it's your first shave you are very likely to cut yourself (at least once). Get a styptic pencil, dip it into water and rub on your cuts to stop bleeding. An aftershave is also important to apply on your face after you are done shaving. It will burn a little but will soothe your skin and prevent any bumps from appearing later on.
