Tip - How To Cover Up Vertical Blinds In A Rental? — Good Question

Q: We rent and we're not technically allowed to take the vertical blinds down but I've decided that I want to at least take down the blades and put up curtains. The window is about 10 feet wide, and since I can't remove the top part of the blinds (it's too big to store anywhere, for one thing) I'm not sure where to put the curtains. I would love some creative solutions or advice from others who have had to deal with this problem!
