Hi there, I've finally learned that to have bushy tall phlox in the fall (without staking) you must pinch three times. The problem is, I'm never really sure exactly "where" to make the pinch/prune. Can anyone give foolproof advice on this? Sometimes when I pinch, I get two new sprouts on t...

Garden phlox (Phlox spp.) produces spikes of flowers that bloom during the summer months. Phlox is hardy in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 2 through 10, depending on the variety. The plant requires some pruning to keep it healthy and to encourage it to develop its best flowering habits.
