We all get so busy and overwhelmed with life that we forget to keep up with our brothers, sisters and parents. In between soccer practices, swimming lessons, and private tutoring we never find time to spend quality time with our parents.
If you are planning to go swimming, try inviting your siblings too, so all of you can get a swim and see each other too. The same goes for other activities. For instance if you want to go out to eat, it won't be a bad idea to invite your sister or brother for lunch too. Try and see which activities can be coordinated this way and then work on them.
"Spend time together. While talking is good, spending time with your brother is also a good thing to do as well. Keep in mind, that you should set a specific day and time for hanging out, especially if you both live hectic lives. Try to alternate ideas on what and where to go, so that everyone can be happy."
Regardless of how you spent your day, a very good way to connect with your family or parents is to have dinner together, at home. You guys can share things about your day, take and give advice, all while eating your dinner.
If you plan it properly and give it importance, you can set two days a month for family gatherings. You don't have to spend the whole day with them, just make sure you see them for lunch or dinner at least twice every month.
The internet gives us a lot of flexibility and even allows us to have video chats with our relatives. Use this to your advantage and stay in touch with them over skype or whatapp etc.
