Now It's Time to Match Your Prints, So Says the Spring 2014 Fashion Week Runways

After multiple seasons of NOT matching your prints, spring 2014 is all about coordinating them again. Or at least that's how the designers styled their runway looks, so I'm taking it to mean that's how they want us to wear their prints. *smiley face* Works for me—sometimes strategically clashing takes more effort than actually matching. J.Crew presented this adorable boxy top and shorts outfit. I'm on it for next spring, although it's so warm out today, I wish I could wear it right now. Trina Turk offered '70s-inspired graphics on a shell tank and shorts. Cute! Vivienne Tam's green geo-prints get the cropped and cutout treatment. This Mara Hoffman tribal-print bomber jacket and slouchy shorts combo is one of my favorites from her show. Easy to integrate into the rest of your wardrobe too. Speaking of jackets, Diane von Furstenberg printed her moto-jacket and pencil-skirt suit with contrasting black-and-white honeycomb graphics. Honor lace-mashed with soft lilac and cream panels on each piece, but then paired the two separates together. Do you like matched prints? Or do you prefer mixing? It's nice to have the option to do both! Photos: Indigitalimages.com
