The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released a new report reversing its previous support of biofuels, stating, “Increasing bioenergy crop cultivation poses risks to ecosystems and biodiversity” and “[Use of biofuels]…can lead to greater total emissions than when using petroleum products.”
