Tip - Scanning multiple photos

Hello,  I am scanning multiple photos and they are saved as one page.  My old hp would separate them into separate files as long as they were not touching.  I cannot figure out how to do that with this new all in one hp photosmart  6515.  I have vista operating system.  I just got off the hp support...
