Tips for Getting More Visitors to My Blog

Find your niche on reddit.com and share your fresh content there regularly to get more traffic. You just have to join the community and contribute on posts created by others and you will get their responses and traffic in return.

Make sure you have all the correct buttons for people to share via your blog. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, Tumblr - all of them to start with.

This will allow users to just share straight away without thinking or copying and pasting your link etc. (it's a lazy world)

If you are posting updates from your blog on Facebook you can boost those posts after paying and you will get good traffic.

LinkedIn is a professional network where you can target "professionals" who most likely do there reading, so if you target a particular group that enjoys reading blogs/articles from your niche then you are likely to get long term readers as long as your content is well written.

Cover trending topics

Our biggest traffic days tended to be those when we covered major events within our niche.

For example, with Quick Sprout, when I covered Google updates like Panda and Penguin, I saw a surge of traffic. The same thing happened when Hummingbird was covered on KISSmetrics.

We also saw similar traffic trends when we blogged about Apple’s marketing around its events.
