In my opinion, documentary photography and its close cousin, photojournalism, are the most difficult forms of photography. By the very nature of the work, you have little or no control over your subject matter. You must think and compose on the fly. You must, through a visual medium, tells stories that are usually reserved for words. There are usually no second chances, the proper moments are fleeting.
